DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: TODAY I SPEAK OUT

Abstract

This article is a first-person narrative on the lived experience of a domestic violence victim. The author wanted to write about her experience to provide an insight into why women remain in domestic violence situations. It is her hope that others will realise how the system fails the victims, it is her hope that sufferers will gain courage, and it is her hope that a holistic framework of support is developed. Today she speaks out!
