Abstract
Jeremie M Bracka (‘Author’) and the Editorial Board of the Griffith Journal of Law & Human Dignity issue a Joint Statement of Retraction (‘Retraction’) for the following article:
Jeremie M Bracka, ‘It Begins With Victoria — The Yoorrook Justice Commission & Innovating Transitional Justice For First Nations Australia’ Griffith Journal of Law & Human Dignity 29 DOI:10.69970/gjlhd.v12i1.1261, published online on 10 September 2024.
(‘Retracted Article’)
The Retraction has been published to correct the scholarly record following an investigation and comprehensive analysis of the paper and associated works. Our Joint Reasons are on the basis of the following findings:
The Retraction is due to significant overlap and reusing text from sections of the author’s own previously published work without proper citation, a breach of the publishing agreement and third party copyright concerns.
(collectively, ‘Joint Reasons’)
Our Joint Reasons and decision-making have been informed by our policy on ethics and academic integrity and the guidance of COPE guidelines on retractions. In no way should this Retraction be interpreted as a punitive measure against the Author.
The Retracted Article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page to indicate ‘Retracted’.
